Really Rotten...

Really rotten things happen in life. Sometimes we can control what happens and sometimes we have less control to no control whatsoever. So for this unit, sorry about your luck, at least you will be prepared in case any of this actually happens to you or someone you know... I hope it does not. I hope you're more intelligent than these scenarios.

FIRED: VIOLENCE at work - A
YOU are being SUED for $4000.00 for damages as a result of fighting at work. You broke the other employee's arm and nose.

Among the reasons that you can be fired is for not keeping your temper in check. You failed to keep your temper under control and let a mouthy coworker get the better of you. You hauled off and hit him in the parking lot at work, beating the crap out of his face. You broke his arm and his nose. He is suing you for damages in the amount of $4000. You will need a PAYDAY LOAN to cover this amount.

You will have trouble getting another job. Getting fired for violence is a HUGE red flag to prospective employers that you are not mature and in control of yourself. TURN IN YOUR JOB APPLICATION & WAIT.

FIRED: Lying on your resume

YES! You CAN be fired for lying on your application or resume. Employers have you sign a statement that the facts that you have presented about yourself are true and if its found that they are false, they WILL fire you, particularly in a "Right to Work" state like Nevada.

Turn in your job application. You are eligible to draw a new job from the job bag and we hope you've learned your lesson.

Draw a SINGLE LINE through your previous job and rate of pay. Record your new one under your previous one.

FIRED: VIOLENCE at work - B
YOU are SUING for $4000.00 for damages as a result of fighting at work. Your arm and nose are broken. You can't work.

You were mouthy one too many times and got punched in the nose and got a broken arn because you failed to keep your mouth shut. You don't have to comment on each and every little thing always. Sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut. If you would have, you would still have your job, but you didn't and you don't.

You have a broken arm. You can't work. You aren't getting your $4000 directly, you have medical bills to pay with that. So you will:

1) DEPOSIT $4000.00 check in the bank

2) WRITE CHECK #1031 Payable to:  Southwest Medical Radiation

in the amount of $1200 for xrays

3) WRITE CHECK #1032 Payable to:  Dr. Daniel Bonebrake

in the amount of $1950 for setting your arm and nose

4) WRITE CHECK #1033 Payable to: North Vista Hospital

in the amount of $80 for emergency services

5) WRITE CHECK 1034 Payable to: Clark County Court

in the amount of $35 for court fees to cover medical bills

Turn in your job application with your broken arm and wait for it to heal. Maybe they will call you, maybe they won't. Either way, you were fired for violence. That's never good.

FIRED: Stealing at work

No, you didn't take money outright. You didn't steal from the cash register. No, you did something far worse: you stole TIME from the company. The company pays you for your time. When you use company time for personal business, that is stealing time. You were on your personal cell phone WAY too much, Snap-Chatting, Insta-Gramming and texting. You got fired as a result.

Turn in your job application. You are eligible to draw a new job from the job bag and we hope you've learned your lesson.
